Understand yourself. Understand others.

Why do some things come easily to you, while others take real effort? Why do you understand some people instantly, while with others it feels like you’re speaking different languages?

Typeonics helps you see what’s behind these differences. A specialist determines your personality type based on an individual interview, and a second specialist independently verifies the result.

What You Gain from a Typeonics Personality Type Assessment

At Typeonics, your type is determined through an individual interview, and the result is independently verified by a second specialist. You get more than your type — you get a foundation for understanding yourself, your relationships, your work, and your interactions with other people.

Deep Self-Knowledge

Typeonics shows you how you think: what you naturally notice first, how you make decisions, what energizes you, and what drains you. You begin to distinguish your enduring traits from habits and other people’s expectations — and understand what you can rely on within yourself.

Understanding Each Other

The same situation — yet you and someone close to you see it differently and keep ending up in the same argument. Typeonics explains where these differences in perception and expectations come from, so that recurring misunderstandings become easier to make sense of and, ultimately, easier to talk about.

A Career That Fits You

When you understand where your strengths lie, it becomes easier to choose a job where they work to your advantage. Typeonics connects the traits of your type with tasks, roles and environments, and shows where you thrive and where you constantly have to work against your own tendencies.

Conscious Choices

Everyone has their own way of making decisions: some gather as much information as possible first, others quickly see what matters most, and for others it is essential to check in with their feelings and values. Typeonics reveals your own way, so you know what you can trust in yourself and what is worth double-checking.

Understanding Others

The same situation can mean completely different things to different people, and each person naturally sees things from their own perspective. Typeonics clarifies what lies behind these differences: what matters to the other person, what they rely on, and why they react the way they do.

Teamwork

A team does not need everyone to be alike; what matters more is understanding how you differ. Typeonics makes these differences visible: who drives ideas forward, who spots the risks, who sees the big picture, and who turns agreements into results. Rather than trying to smooth these differences out, you can turn them into a resource for the team.

Parents and Children

In parenting, it is easy to mistake what works for you for a universal standard: what feels comfortable to you may bring out a very different reaction in your child. Typeonics helps you understand your child’s traits and find the kind of support that genuinely suits them — without trying to shape them to fit what is more convenient for you.

Your Own Leadership Style

In leadership, you tend to get the best results when your approach aligns with your nature. Typeonics helps you understand what lies beneath the way you lead: what comes easily, where you are especially effective, and which situations call for particular attention. This helps you work with people in a way that genuinely suits you, rather than trying to follow someone else’s patterns.

Discover. Understand. Apply.

Typeonics Profile — Discover

Your personality type determined through a one-on-one interview and independently verified by a second Typeonics specialist. You receive your Typeonics Profile: your type, its model, and a full description, including a “User Guide for Others” you can share with those close to you.

Typeonics Insight — Understand

Insight reveals how your type’s key features play out in real life: across your decisions, work, communication, and relationships. The session is led by two Typeonics specialists with different personality types, offering a nuanced, dual perspective on your situation. Both thoroughly review your Profile, interview findings, and questions in advance.

Typeonics Focus — Apply

The next step after Insight: targeted work on a single area that matters to you most right now — a career pivot, relationships, family, or a complex personal decision. Who’s Behind Typeonics

Behind Typeonics are two people with different personality types and distinct professional backgrounds. We naturally see situations through different lenses, ask different questions, and balance each other out. This dynamic has become the foundation of our work together.

Ігор Дериш

Ihor Derysh

I first became curious about personality types about twenty years ago, not for work, but simply to figure myself out. When someone first explained how my mind actually works, it was a turning point. Over time, that insight quietly shaped how I approach relationships, lead people, and make key decisions.

I’ve been running businesses for over fifteen years. The reality of how different people are hits hardest where general advice falls short: hiring, team dynamics, and high-stakes negotiations. I spent years testing existing frameworks in the real world to see what genuinely helps people understand each other and move forward. That’s how Typeonics came to life. Today, I’m studying psychology at university, adding an academic foundation to years of hands-on experience.

To me, a personality type isn’t a box to put someone in. It’s a frame of reference. It reveals what you naturally lean on when you act, think, and connect with others. No type is superior to another; each comes with its own strengths and blind spots. What matters most to me is bridging theory and reality, turning self-knowledge into practical clarity for business, teams, and family life.

I’ve always been fascinated by why people think and feel so differently. My background is in linguistics, translation, and editing. Working with language trained me to catch what’s left unsaid. Later, working in Client Success across international teams, that evolved into an instinct for looking past formal words to see a person’s real values, context, and mindset.

Typology helped me realize that many things we spend years trying to “fix” in ourselves are actually hardwired traits that simply need to be understood. In my work, I want to make sure people never feel pressured to contort themselves to fit outside expectations. Behind any typology model, the individual must always remain front and center, with their lived experience, values, and personal story.

Finding your type is just step one. What matters is the quiet clarity that follows, and the relief of realizing: “There’s nothing wrong with me. I’m just wired my own way.”

Typeonics Principles

Unified Approach

We determine your type using a single Typeonics method. During the interview, our specialist analyzes your thought process: what catches your attention, the criteria you rely on, and how you explain your decisions.

Independent Review

Every result is cross-checked by a second Typeonics specialist. You receive your final type only after this step, which is why we don’t reveal results at the end of the interview.

Result Review

If you have well-founded doubts, we will review your result once at no additional cost. A specialist will re-examine your interview recording, taking your feedback into account, and provide a written explanation of the conclusions. The recording is also available upon request for personal use.

Confidentiality

Interview recordings are used for analysis and independent verification. Only the Typeonics specialists working on your result have access to them.

More Than Your Type

Your type is a foundation, not your whole identity. People with the same type vary in experience, career path, and values. That’s why, in a personal consultation, we look at the type model in the context of your specific situation and goals.

16 Typeonics Types

Typeonics has sixteen personality types. Each model has a distinct combination of strengths, motivations, decision-making styles, and areas of tension. You can compare a few descriptions on our website to see these differences.

Igor, I’d like to thank you and leave a review about my personality typing session. Thank you so much for the very comfortable atmosphere, for your patience (I tend to ramble on for ages 😂), and for your kind, encouraging smile throughout the session. If anyone hasn’t figured out my personality type yet, I’m an ESFJ🥳🎊😂😂. I have exactly zero questions about the typing results 😂—it feels like a 100% match for me. I apologize for the long wait. I’m writing this review to share my experience working with you on my personality profile: you’re a pleasure to talk to; you create an atmosphere that encourages me to open up and be sincere, and during our conversation, you created unique scenarios that helped me see myself from a different perspective and reflect on certain aspects of my life. The result itself is fascinating; I learned a lot about myself and recognized many things, and I realize that I likely wouldn’t have been able to achieve such an accurate result with online tests 😁 Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Typeonics is a personality type assessment system based on Carl Gustav Jung’s ideas about psychological types.

Typeonics has 16 personality types. A type describes a stable way of taking in information, making decisions and interacting with the world around you — what comes naturally to you, what motivates you and what can drain you.

Our goal is not to “assign you a type” but to give you a clear model of your personality that you can apply in relationships, work and important decisions.

You will see how your thinking works: what you naturally pay attention to, how you make decisions, what energizes you and what drains you.

In practice, this helps you:

  • at work — understand which tasks and environments suit you, and where you waste energy;
  • in relationships — see where recurring misunderstandings with your partner, children or colleagues come from;
  • when making decisions — rely on your own strengths rather than someone else’s recipe for success.

It helps you focus less on other people’s standards and better understand your own strengths.

A test shows how you see yourself. An interview shows how you reason.

In a test, you rate yourself, and the result is affected by your mood, self-esteem and the person you would like to be. That is why the same person often gets different results from different tests.

In Typeonics, your type is determined in an interview, not by a test. A specialist asks open-ended questions and analyzes not only what you answer but how you reason: what you focus on, which criteria you use, how you explain your decisions.

If you already have a test result, it is a good starting point. The interview will show whether it holds up.

Online, one-on-one with a specialist, up to two hours.

It is a relaxed conversation, not an exam. The specialist asks open-ended questions about real-life situations, decisions and preferences. There are no right or wrong answers — what matters is how you think.

No preparation is needed. If you are not used to talking about yourself, that is fine: the specialist will lead the interview.

The interview is recorded: the recording is needed for analysis and independent verification of the result. Only the Typeonics specialists working on your result have access to it. Once you have received your result, you can request the recording for personal use.

After the interview, the specialist analyzes the material, and then a second specialist independently verifies the result. Your result is provided after the interview rather than at the end of it; the timeframe depends on the format and is stated on the service page.

Every result is verified by a second Typeonics specialist.

The second specialist independently reviews the interview recording and the first specialist’s rationale. You receive your final type only after this verification — which is why we do not announce the result at the end of the interview.

Your result is not based on one specialist’s conclusion alone: it goes through an additional professional review within Typeonics.

Book a personality type assessment

After verification, you receive:

  • your personality type, confirmed by a second Typeonics specialist;
  • a detailed description of your type: strengths, motivation, decision-making, lifestyle, career paths and growth, relationships — plus a “User Guide for Others” you can share with the people close to you so they understand you more easily;
  • the recording of your interview — on request, for personal use.

You can return to these materials later and, if you wish, use them as the basis for a personal consultation.

The result is based not on matching you to a ready-made description but on analyzing how you reason.

Vague statements like “you value the people close to you, but sometimes you need time alone” fit everyone — so we do not rely on them. Descriptions of different types differ noticeably in

their combination of strengths, motivation, ways of making decisions and areas of tension. Compare a few descriptions on this site and you will see the differences.

And most importantly: you do not determine your type yourself by picking the description you like best. A specialist determines your type based on an interview, and a second Typeonics specialist then verifies the result.

At the same time, your type is a foundation, not the whole person. People of the same type differ in experience, profession and values. The next answer explains how we take that into account.

The description is about the type. The consultation is about you.

The description is a general model. How it shows up in your life depends on your experience, age, profession and the challenges you are facing right now. In a personal consultation, the specialist looks at your type in the context of your situation: your work, relationships, an important decision or a recurring difficulty.

What you get:

  • personalized recommendations — based on your life, not just your type;
  • answers to your questions, including any parts of the description you have doubts about;
  • time saved: it is the shortest path from “I know my type” to “I know what to do with it” — without having to work through a large body of theory on your own.

A consultation is optional: you can start with the personality type assessment and decide later.

If you have specific, reasoned concerns about the result, it can be reviewed once at no extra charge — based on the interview recording.

  1.  You write to us explaining which parts of the result seem inaccurate to you and why. Specific examples help us understand what exactly to re-check.
  2. A Typeonics specialist re-analyzes your interview recording in light of your comments: the recording remains the basis for the review.
  3. You receive a written response explaining the conclusion: your type is either confirmed or revised, if the re-analysis provides sufficient grounds for a change.

It is important to understand: the conclusion is based on how you reasoned during the interview. We do not evaluate your whole life, actions or biography — we analyze the patterns of perception and thinking that emerged during the interview, and the recording lets us return to them when reviewing the result.

Behavior in everyday life does not always directly reflect personality type: it is also shaped by upbringing, profession, experience and circumstances. So “I behave differently in real life” does not by itself contradict the result — and the specialist will explain why.

Our goal is not to convince you to accept a label but to find the model that best explains how you are wired.

Your type describes not who you should be but how you are wired.

In Typeonics, personality type is treated as a stable foundation: your way of taking in information and making decisions. Everything else can change — skills, experience, beliefs, roles, behavior. That is why a person can behave very differently at 20 and at 40, yet the foundation remains recognizable.

Knowing your type does not limit your choices. People of the same type build different careers, families and lives. You are more than your type; your type only shows what you can most easily rely on.

Yes: we treat personality type as a stable foundation that shows up already in childhood. At Typeonics, we determine personality type for teenagers aged 14 and older.

An interview with a teenager is shorter — up to 90 minutes — and focuses on real situations from school, friendships and hobbies rather than abstract reflection on oneself. The teenager talks to the specialist without prompting, and only with their own consent.

For parents, the key is not to try to make their child more like them, but to understand how their child’s way of perceiving the world differs from their own. This is neither a diagnosis nor an assessment of abilities.

If your child is under 14 or not yet ready for an interview, there is a format that does not require their participation — see the “Parents & Children” page.

Typeonics is an applied personality typology system, not a medical or clinical method.

It is based on Carl Gustav Jung’s ideas about psychological types, further developed within Typeonics’ own model.

Type assessment follows a single Typeonics methodology, and every result is verified by a second specialist. This is not proof of scientific validity — it is our quality standard.

Typeonics does not provide diagnoses and is not a substitute for working with a psychologist or psychotherapist. Its purpose is self-knowledge, relationships, communication and professional growth.
